My wife and I were out tonight for dinner and as we were leaving I mentioned the rocket launch that was scrubbed last night, October 1, 2020. She reminded me that we hadn’t missed it tonight and that it was set to launch around 9:15pm. So we ran home and I grabbed my gear and headed to downtown Portsmouth where I could place the Norfolk skyline below the rocket after it launched. The Antares rocket launched right on time and into clear night skies. We were set up on top of a parking garage in Portsmouth and I grabbed a few images. This one below is the best of the images. Next time I know where it will come up over the skyline and I’ll be there earlier to be all set for the launch.
