SOCIAL DISTANCING AND BACKYARD WILDLIFE

As of course we all know by now, nearly the entire world is on lockdown, unable to go many places other than work and to stores. I have continued to work everyday as my place of employment is in a semi-closure, but daily activities around the campuses continues. However, as spring has sprung, and the days have grown longer, the birds have begun to return to our feeders around the backyard and neighborhood. Cristal has been feeding the “neighborhood” squirrels the past few weeks and they are getting braver by the day. Coming up on the back deck to take peanuts from her and try to fend off the blue jays who try to come along and steal the peanuts. Sitting outside in the evening each day and enjoying some actual downtime and watching the wildlife in the area continue as if nothing is happening in the world is a break from all that’s happening.

Below are some of the images from the past 2 weeks from our back deck of squirrels and various types of song birds and other birds. Trying to continue to shoot photos and hone my skills while on lockdown, you shoot the models who are willing!

Everyone stay safe, stay in and continue to do what is suggested so we can get through this quickly!
